What activities can a youth group in a Catholic church have to raise funds & any ideas to invite more youth?

We are a part of the World Youth Day group based in Kuwait.|||At my parish growing up, my youth group held a silent auction and had a supper at the hall...the community, parishoners, etc. donated all kinds of items for the auction, and a local restaurant donated the food.





In turn, we donated half of the money to our local soup-kitchen that fed the homeless. so we werent' actually just trying to raise money for ourselves, but for the community, and I believe this is why more people dontated items, and bid on items.





Good luck to you and your endeavours!|||u may sell goodies, cards, craft etc. u may invite youth form other churches to invite more youth.|||I don't know if these things would be good in Kuwait, but these are some of the things we used to do:


- car wash afternoons (people pay to get their car washed, in the school car park - off the roads, so not traffic danger)


- garage sales (sell unwanted second hand goods for cheap prices and donate the proceeds to the cause - or other sellers can keep their proceeds and pay a site fee and/or donation)


- sell sweets, cakes etc through a charity scheme or cake making drive


- do odd jobs about the neighbourhood (if safe and possible) and raise some money that way


- collection taken up at Mass etc.


- run a trivia quiz or talent quest night





Maybe if you have not done this yet, you could have a meeting with the Parish parents and friends and teachers and youth group members one day, and come up with some good ideas together. You could have a lunch or tea with a fun atmosphere, which might get more youth involved too and get some more good ideas (if your school is a Catholic school, that could be a good place to start) Good luck.|||Ok :according to "Non Profit Organizations the Catholic
