To which carbon of the deoxyribose sugar does the nitogen base and the phosphate group attach?

Hello, since DNA always polymerizes 5'-%26gt;3', we know the phosphate group attaches at the 3' carbon. The base attaches at the 1' carbon. Hope this helps :)
