What do the army group locations mean?

For example... say someone was in the 10th special forces group, based out of fort carson colorado, does that mean that (when not on deployment,) that's where the soldiers in that group live?|||yes, thats where they live, but keep in mind that SF is constantly training and going to different school, and most SF members frequent fort bragg since its the home of special forces
